Dymo printers and Google Cloud Print

If you intend to use Google Cloud Print with your Dymo LabelWriter printers they will likely require some additional setup to print properly from Cloud Print.  If you are not familiar with the items discussed in this article you would want to reach out to either your local IT support or Dymo Support for additional assistance.  Please note that these settings are only available on Windows computers.

Windows 7/8/8.1: Open the Control Panel and choose "Devices and Printers"

Windows 10: Click on the Start button, choose the Settings gear on the left, then Apps, Devices, and then Printers & Scanners

From here you would want to access the Printing Preferences page for your Dymo printer.  On Windows 7 that can be accessed by right-clicking on the printer and choosing Printing Preferences.  On Windows 10 you'd click on the printer, then Manage, and then Printing Preferences.

First, choose Landscape for the Orientation.

For Twin Turbo devices you can also choose the side that you want Cloud Print to use on the Paper/Quality tab.  This will not impact you if you are printing from Dymo's Label Software, it can override this option.

Next, click on Advanced and set the size there to match the labels that you are using.  For the main label sizes we recommend they would be as follows:

2 3/4" X 2 1/8" - 30258 Diskette

3 1/10" X 1 4/5" - 30326 Video Top

Once that is selected click OK until you are back to the Control Panel or Settings apps.  This will set the printer up to specifically fit to your labels which is something Google Cloud Print is unable to pass along on its own.
