WorldPay (formerly Vantiv) Setup and Instructions

In order to use Vantiv (now Worldpay from FIS) Payment Systems, you will need to create an account with them first.

Complete this form https://vantivip.secure.force.com/?p=evetcovetrus to start the process with Vantiv, now Worldpay from FIS.

Once your account has been created you should receive an email with the Merchant Number and Web Service Password in an attached PDF. These are the items you will need to input in eVetPractice.

NOTE: If you previously used Vantiv with a previous PIMS, and thus already have an account with Vantiv, please email Vantiv at the following email address and let them know you are switching to eVetPractce (channelsupport@worldpay.com).  In the Subject line of your email, include the following (replacing account # with your MID #):  MID (account #)  ‘DCF Request’. A Vantiv representative will reach out to you to help you switch your POS associated to your Vantiv account to eVetPractice.

Before enabling Vantiv integration, it is recommended to disable 'Auto Fill' in your browser settings so that the browser does not try to auto-fill information when trying to swipe the credit card info.  Please refer to your browser help to learn how to disable this feature.

For assistance setting up WorldPay integration, please contact our Covetrus Implementation team.

In our system, if you go to practice settings, then Payments.  There is a checkbox below called “Use Vantiv Integrated Payments”.  If you check that option, a new section will appear below where you can enter Merchant ID and Password.

There is also the option "Allow for storing of tokenized cards" that you can enable to store a token of a customer's card for use in payments.  Vantiv will need to make sure that your practice has been configured to use "mToken" if you want to utilize this feature.

Note:  The Vantiv account should not be given a nickname.  If you receive an error when processing a stored credit card that the card is declined, invalid credentials, please ensure that there is not a nickname associated to your Vantiv account.

If you are using Dejavoo Terminal(s) you will need to add each terminal to this section as well by clicking "Add New Payment Terminal" and giving the terminal a name and Serial Number.

Important Notes:

  •  Once you have added a Dejavoo Terminal you will not be able to use any USB connected terminals for integrated payments.  Those terminals will only be able to process the payment in Evetpractice with the "Skip Credit Card Processing" set to "Yes".  The payments would need to be manually processed with Worldpay outside of eVetPractice.

  • The name of your wi-fi network cannot contain any special characters in order to pair the terminals in the next step. This is a restriction on the WorldPay side with the hardware.  If your Wi-Fi network name contains special characters, you will need to rename your network in order to get your terminals to connect to the wi-fi network.

*The terminal must already be connected to the internet before this step can happen. If you have questions about getting the terminal online, please contact Vantiv for assistance.

The Serial Number can be found on the back of your Dejavoo Terminal as shown below:

After saving your Vantiv settings and terminals, any payment option flagged as a credit card will automatically ask for you to swipe the card on the terminal/swiper.

USING THE SWIPER WITH USB CONNECTION (NON DEJAVOO TERMINALS)

The system will present a new text box “Credit Card Track”.  That isn’t for you to type into, but to place your cursor in PRIOR to swiping the card or manually typing in card on machine.  All card entries need to be done on the machine they provide and not on our screen.

The machine will then populate the field display here and the process will allow you to continue as usual.

Once the payment is processed, you will see a Transaction ID on the payment history (receipt).  That ID is a way to link the payment to Vantiv's payment portal reports (www.mercurypay.com/).  If any errors occur during the process, they will be displayed on the screen (ex. CARD DECLINED, CARD NOT READABLE, etc…).

**Note:  The Vantiv payment portal for clinics using the dejavoo devices is: https://dvmms.com/denovo/account/login

*Note:  The Vantiv payment portal for clinics using non-dejavoo devices is:  https://portal.mercurypay.com/nonsecure/login.aspx

USING A DEJAVOO TERMINAL

You will need to select the correct terminal that you want to send the payment to and mark which kind of credit card you will be processing. Then you will need to hit process payment to send the transaction over to the terminal to be completed.

Once you hit process payment, eVetPractice will communicate to your selected Dejavoo terminal how much money it needs to process and you will be prompted to do so on the terminal and collect a signature if you've set up your machine to require one.

Once the payment is processed, you will see a Transaction ID on the payment history (receipt).  That ID is a way to link the payment to Vantiv’s payment portal reports (www.mercurypay.com/).  If any errors occur during the process, they will be displayed on the screen (ex. CARD DECLINED, CARD NOT READABLE, etc…).
